Putting Homer's epic tale "The Odyssey" into a much anticipated motion picture will surely excite every literature fan. In an effort to do so "Wolverine 3" lead star, Hugh Jackman, is in negotiations to play the lead role for the movie. "Hunger Games" series director Francis Lawrence will take the wheel during production.
The soon-to-be motion picture version of Homer's "The Odyssey" is said to be immensely budgeted as The Wrap reports. A person representing Hugh Jackman says that there is no confirmation whatsoever as it is still very early to say so. Adding that it is more of a discussion as of yet. Jackman's continuing lead role for a "Wolverine" series directed by James Mangold.
Den of Geek acknowledges their information on the talks between "Wolverine 3" star actor Hugh Jackman and the production people of "Odyssey" are a bit too early. But it is rather obvious that these kind of times and circumstances cannot come to pass without being placed in the limelight. The ageless tale made by Homer to be turned into a movie has a lot of material that can be played out. The report actually writes that the tale can possibly be turned into a trilogy. If a prequel is needed literature people are well aware that "The Iliad" is the only thing that fits. The viewers are surely in for a good time if ever Jackman lands the role as Odysseus. Hugh's role as the Trojan War veteran is perfect for his age. Since Odysseus is rather of a windbag, Jackman play around on the role knowing that his previous roles quite match the character.
Dark Horizon adds that Francis Lawrence will direct the "The Odyssey" which will be produced by Nona Jacobson. Peter Craig, who also happens to partake in the writing of "The Hunger Games", will write the script for the Lionsgate film.
A lot of literature fans will surely be delighted to see how "The Odyssey" motion picture will turn out. Francis Lawrence has a lot of work to do if he wants to go beyond their expectations. Also if Hugh Jackman does get the role it will definitely add a chip on his career.
