It's official: "X-Men" Apocalypse" is done with its main production. As proof, director Bryan partied with the Four Horsemen after the reported wrap-up.
Last month, it was confirmed that the Four Horsemen will work under Apocalypse, one of the primary enemies of the X-Men team. The four mutants includes Michael Fassbender as Magneto, Olivia Munn as Psylocke, Ben Hardy as Angel/Archangel, and Alexandra Shipp as Storm.
Director Bryan singer took a photo of the "X-Men: Apocalypse" set and wrote, "That's s wrap on main unit. But still more to shoot over the next few weeks with second unit. But now...the wrap party!" on his Instagram account, reported Entertainment Weekly.
Munn also posted on Her Instagram a picture with Hardy, Shipp, and Singer with a caption, "A director and his #horsemen."
The movie lifts off when an ancient mutant named Apocalypse, to be played by Oscar Isaac, appears and threatens the lives of humans all over the world. This 5000-year old character, who might be the first being with the mutant X-gene, has a habit of enslaving and recruiting fellow mutants, according to Movie Pilot.
Apocalypse is one of the, if not the deadliest nemesis of the X-men team, both in comics and in the movie franchise.
In other news, Forbes reported Singer's confirmation of a possible cross over with the "Fantastic Four." The director mentioned that Fox is planning to create its own cinematic universe. However, after "Fantastic Four" fizzled in the box office, it is now uncertain if the cross over will still happen.
The eighth film in 20th Century Fox's "X-Men" franchise also features Jennifer Lawrence as Mystique, James McAvoy as Professor X, and Nicholas Hoult as Beast. Furthermore, Kodi Smit-McPhee will also appear as Nightcrawler, Tye Sheridan as Cyclops, and Sophie Turner as Jean Grey.
The Four Horsemen, along with the rest of the mutants, will make clash in X-Men: Apocalypse when it hits the big screen on May 27, 2016.
