"Vikings" Season 4 will be about Ragnar Lothbrok trying to conquer France as well as a new love interest as a new character will be part of the series. His son, Bjorn, will reportedly be taking his place as the head of the Vikings.
According to reports, the show will have a time jump and it will be featuring the challenges faced by Ragnar Lothbrok. He will also be having health problems and trust issues after what happened to him in the show's season 3 finale says show creator Michael Hirst, Master Herald reported.
Ragnar will be dethroned by his people at some point of Season 4 and Bjorn will be stepping up as the leader of the Vikings. However, the people do not have a solid thought on this so it will be very interesting to see if he will end up as the leader or not, Vine Report shared. Bjorn will be struggling to earn the trust of his people but he will be doing some great things in the first episodes of "Vikings" season 4.
In a report by International Business Times, Bjorn lost his wife in Season 3 so it is expected that he will be seen coping from the loss in "Vikings" Season 4. Alexander Ludwig, the actor who plays Bjorn said that his character will decide to figure out his life in the upcoming episodes of the show. At one point, he comes face to face with a bear as he goes out to the woods.
The show's creator told reports before that "Vikings" Season 4 will be focusing on the four sons of Ragnar Lothbrok. When asked again, he shared that they are not totally banking on the idea as they would have to recast the other sons to be part of the show again.
"Vikings" Season 4 will return to History Channel by 2016. No specific premiere date has been announced yet.
