‘Mighty No.9’ Updates: Game Resembles ‘Mega Man,’ Reschedules Release In 2016

By

Last week's updates regarding the upcoming Comcept game "Mighty No. 9" state that it hugely resembles Capcom's hit called "Mega Man." The latest action-platform video game is expected to release in early 2016.

What can fans expect in the upcoming "Mighty No. 9?" Although the multi-platform game is run by several Japan-based developers added with a German touch by its publishers, one particular influence stands out for the game. As of the moment, gamers and experts alike agree to the idea that "Mighty No. 9" looks a lot like "Mega Man," - well in terms of its protagonist at least. According to Ars Technica, the game's main character named Beck pretty much resembles the character "Mega Man." Why the resemblance? This might be due to the influence of Keiji Inafune, the man behind Capcom's hit series and now the prominent producer of "Mighty No. 9."

Meanwhile, Xbox Achievements also reported the resemblance between these protagonists during the Gamescom 2015 in Cologne, Germany. Aside from character resemblance, the report also mentioned the distinct moves from the game's hero, Beck. So far, the character is notably known for its dashing skills perfect for combat and his ability to absorb the Xel life force of weakened enemies.

As for its official release, PC Gamer noted that the game's launch has again been delayed for 2016. The launch was originally scheduled on April but was moved to September 15. Officials are yet to comment on the details of the delay but other reports claim it was due to fix issues and bugs. Meanwhile, avid fans can still pre-order the game in online stores such as GameStop and Amazon for $30.

Hopefully the game developers won't no longer reschedule the Q1 2016 launch for "Mighty No. 9." Upon release, the game will be available for almost every platform - Windows PC, OS X, Linux, XBox 360, XBox One, PS3, PS4, PS Vita, Wii U and 3DS.
