George R.R. Martin, author of "A Song of Ice and Fire" where Game of Thrones TV series is adapted from, says "to hell with that" when he felt the pressure of Season 6 finishing before his 6th book, "The Winds of Winter."
With HBO's Games of Thrones TV series reaching 6.88 million viewers in its fifth season from the 2.52 million viewers during the first season, according to Christian Post, the demand for the next season flares up. HBO announces the return of Game of Thrones with its sixth season on 2016 even without Martin's six book yet.
Since Martin has not yet finished "The Winds of Winter", Game of Thrones script writers David Benioff and Dan Weiss pursue season 6. Martin describes the show's progress like a locomotive or even a jet locomotive which he could not out run.
When asked by Screenpost, as reported by The Bit Bag, about the issue that his books are falling behind, Martin responded that worrying about it isn't going to change it one way or another and explained that the script writers produces 60-page scripts while he writes a 1,500-page novel.
Fans of the book series, "A Song of Ice and Fire" are assured by Martin that he still sits down at his typewriter and writes the next scene and the next sentence of the book. He tells Screenpost further that he is going to tell his story while Benioff and Weiss write theirs but he'll try to finish writing his sixth novel before the sixth season airs.
Meanwhile, leaks in the net reveal that more characters are being brought back by Benioff and Weiss in Season 6 aside from Jon Snow, The Hound and Osha are returning from their supposed death too. Martin's "The Winds of Winter" might not have the same thing but surely Benioff and Weiss have in mind that the next season airs on 2016 and there are more than 6 million viewers out in the world waiting.
