The force will be strong on Empire as the magazine's two covers in its upcoming winter issue will feature "Star Wars: The Force Awakens."
The upcoming 2015 "Star Wars" movie is set 30 years after the events in "Return of the Jedi." There will be a new breed of heroes and villains, without forgetting the original heroes that shined in the first movies of the franchise, reported Comingsoon.net.
The first previewed cover shows the dark side of the force, starring Adam Driver's Kylo Ren, Domhnall Gleeson's General Hux and Gwendoline Christie's Captain Phasma, with the quote "There has been an awakening. Have you felt it? The dark side and the light."
Meanwhile, in the second and the light side of the force, Daisy Ridley's Rey, John Boyega's Finn, and Oscar Isaac's Poe Dameron are featured with the quote, "The force is strong in my family. My father has it... I have it... My sister has it... You have that power too."
Aside from the Empire feature of "Star Wars: The Force Awakens," fans are also ecstatic about the prequel "Star Wars: Rogue One." Sources told Daily Mail that the producers are planning to bring a character back from the grave: Peter Cushing, the horror film icon known for leading "Dracula" and "Dr. Frankenstein."
The said British actor who passed away in 1994 will be digitally recreated using Computer Generated Imagery (CGI) techniques in the prequel, which is being filmed at Pinewood Studios in Buckinghamshire.
Cushing will said to play a vital role in the movie as evil Grand Moff Tarkin, Darth Vader's leader and the commander of the Death Star. "This is one of the most complex and costly CGI re-creations ever," the source claimed. "Cushing is a pivotal plot line as he was the one to create Darth Vader and there's a whole back story that will come out."
"Rogue One," which was described as a gritty war movie, will be set back in time before the events in "Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope." It will follow the lives of a squadron sent to take Death Star's original plans and blueprints, according to Cinema Blend.
"Star Wars Anthology: Rogue One" will premiere on December 16, 2016, "Star Wars: Episode VIII" on May 26, 2017, and the anticipated "Han Solo Anthology" movie on May 25, 2018.
After the continuous teasers and a sneak peek from Empire's cover pages, fans will fully witness "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" on December 18, 2015.
