‘Warcraft' Movie Update: 'Star Wars' People Behind The ‘Groundbreaking’ CGI; Film Trilogy Possible

By

The "Warcraft Movie" will be full of 'groundbreaking' Computer Generate Images or CGI. The people responsible for the CGI's are the same people that are behind the special effects of the movie "Star Wars." Director Duncan Jones discloses a possibility of a trilogy in the making.

Movie News Guide reports that the "Warcraft Movie" is based on the popular MMORPG or massively multiplayer online role playing game "World of Warcraft." It is no secret that the filming of Warcraft was done about a year ago yet up until now the movie still has not been released yet. But avid gamers of the multiplayer online game would know better. If the game requires a lot of CGI they would expect the same in the motion picture. Only a whole lot better.

Crossmap says that Industrial Light & Magic are the ones in charge of the CGI for the "Warcraft Movie." The same bunch of people that was responsible for the special effects of the movie "Star Wars." Travis Fimmel who plays Sir Anduin Lothar shared his thoughts about the CGI on the film. Having seen images of the movie, he mentioned that the CGI is "pretty groundbreaking." Fimmel is also in awe at what can be done with computers these days. Travis also adds that fans and gamers of the famous game would surely be "happy and impressed" of the results.

Since the official trailer for "Warcraft Movie" has leaked out Director Duncan Jones has expressed his excitement for a possible trilogy according to Christian Post. Under Legendary Pictures, Duncan has verbal shown the work done by Peter Jackson on "The Lord of the Rings." Jones also point out the fact that there is still a whole lot more to tell when it comes to the movie version of the MMORPG game.

Bound to hit theaters on June 10, 2016 the "Warcraft Movie" focal point will be the clash between the orcs and the humans. Casts will be Toby Kebbell as Durotan alongside Travis Fimmel. Other supporting casts are Paula Patton, Dominic Cooper, Rob Kazinsky and Ben Foster.
