"Kill Your Friends" trailer shows Nicholas Hoult working his way up in the music industry. The movie title serves his character best as Hoult literally kills everyone that stands in his way.

The Hollywood News reports that the "Kill Your Friends" is a movie taken from the book of John Niven. The movie main casts Nicholas Hoult, James Corden and Rosanna Arquette. Hoult plays Steven Stelfox, a young music artists and repertoire man in the British music industry in London. The year 1997 has Britpop bands like Oasis, Radiohead, Blur and other bands hitting Gold records mostly beating the airwaves.

Radio actually describes the music industry in Britain during the 1990's as a turbulent one despite the success of its local bands. Coming from the 2008 bestselling novel "Kill Your Friends" the motion picture is actually described as a new "jet-black comedy". It brings what happened to the artists and the people in the industry during those times to life. Mainly into the character that Nicholas Hoult portrays. Steven Stelfox's ambition is to be ultimately successful in the music business whichever way he deems fit. Even if it means Stelfox has to kill, in a literal sense of the word, his way to the top to be king of the hill.

The official description reads "Fueled by greed, ambition and inhuman quantities of drugs, [Steven] Stelfox [played by Hoult] searches for his next hit record amid a relentless orgy of self-gratification." Stelfox goes through great lengths just to meet the demands due to the changing industry and most of all redeem his career.

Irish Examiner describes Nicholas Hoult's character as going psycho. It even compares the trailer of "Kill Your Friends" as one similar to that of Mary Harron's movie "American Psycho." This may be a fresh role for Hoult but will surely have to be ready to be compared to Christian Bale.

"Kill Your Friends" will premiere on November 6, 2015 which will be directed by Owen Harris. Other co-stars are Craig Roberts and Tom Riley. The film depicts the dark sides of the music industry where ambition and the means to have it realized thru any means necessary are more important than talent. You just have to have the guts to do it.
