Super Mario Maker, as the game's name implies, allows fans and players to unleash their creative side with the beloved mustachioed character and his environments. Nintendo will release the game via Wii U on September 11.
Christian Today reported on how Super Mario Maker is different, as it permits creativity from players. They can design their own levels by using the available array of graphics, physics and gameplay borrowed from previous Super Mario games; which include Super Mario Bros., Super Mario Bros. 3, Super Mario World, and New Super Mario Bros. U. Gamers can also share their creations online, and can play the levels designed by others.
This is definitely a mash-up feast of Nintendo's greatest 2D Mario games, as stated in Tech Insider. The report had also shared some of the best creations that were created early on in the Super Mario Maker.
A simple editor tool in the game can allow players to create their very own Mario levels. This works smoothly, of course, with the Wii U's tablet-style gamepad. Nintendo has provided both some fascinating and creepy levels that can be created with Super Mario Maker. Apart from creating their own levels, players can also put together the standard mechanics found in the classic franchise.
The Super Mario Maker bundle, which costs $299.96, is exclusive to Walmart, for now. The bundle comes with an Idea Book and the "30th Anniversary Mario Modern Color" amiibo. Sold alone, the game has a retail price of $59.99. However, the included amiibo is not yet confirmed if it's going to be exclusive as well. This is the first for Nintendo to include an amiibo in one of their Wii U bundles.
The Idea Book, on the other hand, contains the ideas created by the Nintendo development team. The book also includes the level designs and concept art used in the original Super Mario Bros. game on NES. Special codes were also attached in the book which can be used to watch videos of the development team creating their own levels.
Mario will not just be an ordinary mushroom-stomping mustachioed red-suited tradesman in Super Mario Maker. Players can be both creative and a show-off - as they can share to others their unique designs and how they have reached a certain level or have unlocked items in the game.
But to those who can't create their own, Nintendo's still offering something for players in Super Mario Maker - the 100 Mario Challenge. A player gets 100 lives to be able to finish a collection of original courses.
