Latin singer Ricky Martin says Donald Trump's frequent harassment of the Latino community has made his blood boil recently. Martin called out his fellow Latinos to stand up and demand respect from the US Presidential candidate.

According to The Guardian, in a statement in the website of US Spanish language TV station Univision, Ricky Martin said that Donald Trump's comments about the Latino community was "racist, incoherent and ignorant". This after Univision senior journalist Jorge Ramos was thrown out of a press conference of Trump where the reporter asked him repeatedly about immigration policies. Ramos was later invited back and his questions were answered.
It can be remembered that Trump also mentioned about Latinos making up for rapists and drug addicts in America that spurred violent reactions from the Latino community. Trump talked about his plan to deport illegal migrants from Mexico.
Martin's statement, which was written in the Spanish language, added that Trump was either doing it to gain votes or to remain popular. He called for Latinos not to let a presidential hopeful continue to humiliate and insult them. Martin asked his countrymen to demand respect especially to first generation Latinos who opened the gates of opportunities and fought their rights for their fellowmen.
XENOPHOBIA
Martin says xenophobia or the dislike of people from other countries, is the lowest form of political strategy for political power, Mirror reports. He says Latinos need to be united for future Latino generations.
Martin actually has already been vocal about Trump's harassment against Latinos that he even posted his comments on Twitter before. However, despite having a lot of haters from the Latino community, NBC says Trump believes that he will get a majority of votes from them.
This is not the first time Donald Trump has been involved in a controversy. He has also been reported to harass a number of people, including a female news anchor, but does not seem to be bothered by the accusations.
