Tekken 7 will not be among the lineup of Bandai Namco in the upcoming Tokyo Game Show (TGS) 2015 next month, however, fans are expecting some good news as the game director and chief producer Katsuhiro Harada confirmed that he will be coming to the annual gaming event this coming September 17-20 in Japan.
Gematsu reports that Bandai Namco has already launched its official TGS 2015 website and like the previous years, they plan to live stream the event. Bandai Namco is one of the exhibitors at TGS in the past showcasing dozens of its console games, smartphone games, and a couple of their browser games.
While Tekken 7 will not be among its lineup of playable games, fans are hoping that the long awaited release announcement of the console versions will be made there as Katsuhiro Harada confirmed his attendance in the event. Harada may reveal the console version of the game, as noted by Realty Today, or he may announce a new character that will join the existing roster.
It can be recalled that Bandai Namco has announced the new character Catalina at TGS 2014, so, fans are watching out for some exciting news to be made this year.
It was earlier reported that Harada, in response to fans' criticism on why the game is released in a basically "obsolete" arcade game, is encouraging gamers to play the game's arcade version and give some feedback to make sure that bugs and other issues are fixed before it will be released in the consoles.
Harada confirmed his attendance at TGS 2015 via Twitter by replying to an inquiry saying, "Of course I'll go there."
Among the dozen playable titles of the Bandai Namco lineup for TGS 2015 are the most awaited Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 4 which will playable for PS4 and Disney Infinity 3.0 as also in playable form.
Tokyo Game Show 2015 will be held at Makuhari Messe Mihama-ku, Chiba City, Japan from September 17 to 20. Tekken 7 was first released at arcades in Japan February this year and is also expected to hit PS4 and Xbox One soon.
