Android Lollipop's 5.1.1 version is officially rolling out to Samsung Galaxy Grand Prime and its variants following debut release of the latest software update for such device in other parts of the world late July. The final Lollipop update is keeping full-blown promises of improvements as Android too is heading to Marshmallow or version 6.0.
Samsung Galaxy Prime variants with model codes SM-G531F, SM-G530P, SM-G530H, SM-G530FZ, and SM-G530T are the lucky mid-range smartphones since they will be receiving the Android 5.1.1 Lollipop update as reported. The release is expected to come in late September as the Android 6.0 Marshmallow is rolling out too to select high-end smartphones.
Android 5.1.1 Lollipop will rock an impressive new user interface which will help save up battery life. The update weighs roughly 740 MB.
Here's a quick list of features Android 5.1.1 Lollipop will bring in:
1. Material Design. Android's latest user interface is made even sleeker by using smoother shadows, livelier animation, fresh font style and vibrant colors. Material Design gives Lollipop cleaner minimalist design.
2. Device Switch. Lollipop now has a more convenient way to switch once device software using the near-field communication (NFC) which will set up the same format for apps, wallpaper and screen layout when transitioned. This also takes note of preferences such as Wi-Fi connection settings or location choices. Even without the NFC capacity, device can manually restore settings from a previous device using a Google account.
3. Sync with Other Device. Syncing TV, watches, cars, smartphones, and tablets to a device is made possible plus perks and privileges of allowing users to browse, listen and watch on one device and continue where one left off on another. This operates using a Google account as key which also provides good access to apps, photos, docs and music.
4. Advanced Security. Following security threats, increased protection will guarantee stricter privacy of sensitive data especially when device is lost or stolen. Protection against malware and a better Smart Lock also takes tight grip of information to trusted devices.
