LG-made 2015 Google Nexus 5 Update: Specs, Design, & Price Details

Google's 2015 Nexus 5 made by LG Electronics may not be a killer device as expected but the upcoming phone is deemed game-changer in the smartphone competition because of its promising features that not any brand in the market pulled off for a mid-range device.

Expected to be revealed in public eyes a month from now, the 2015 Nexus 5 smartphone produced by LG will exceed performance of its predecessor 2013 Nexus 5. As seen on latest leaks, LG places the fingerprint sensor at the back panel of the device.

However, this creates a backlash among netizens calling the phone "generic." Some critiques say the LG-made 2015 Nexus 5 has "really disappointing" specs given it a mid-range price. It was reported back July that Google is prepping for a fresh and new smartphone.

Previous leaks already showed the upcoming smartphone to sport a 5.2-inch screen display with 1080p resolution. The back camera will wear a 12.3 MP sensor and a 5 MP front sensor. It will run a Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 chipset, 2700 mAh battery, 3 GB of RAM and 16 GB of storage which is expandable to 32 GB.

With the Snapdragon 808 processor, heat issues due to long-time usage of devices is expected to tone down while the 1080p resolution will also help consume less power than a QHD panel. The slated Android 6.0 Marshmallow debut is also a huge contributor to saving battery life for the device.

The USB Type-C port will also be incorporated somewhere on the sides. Nevertheless, reports are still firm that USB 3.x or USB 2.0 will remain.

The 2015 Nexus 5 will be available in black, white and blue variants according to leaked photos. Reports tell that the phone's cost will range from US $300 to $500.

In another news, Huawei is also manufacturing a 2015 Nexus 5 device for Google which means two Nexuses will be out this year. According to previous reports, the smartphone will also have mid-range capacities and a reasonable price.
