In another article by Comic Book Resources, FUNimation recently released the teaser trailer for the live-action adaptation of the best-selling Japanese manga of the same name. It revealed a post-apocalyptic world set a hundred years after giant humanoids called Titans destroyed most of human civilization. However, a massive flesh-eating Titan suddenly appears to herald a new period of violence against humans, which prompts the heroes to wage a war to save humanity from extinction.
The film is directed by Shinji Higuchi with the screenplay written by Yusuke Watanabe, Tomohiro Machiyama and original manga creator Hajime Isayama, according to Digital Trends. It was reported that Isayama's comic books published in North America topped the best-seller list on the New York Times every time a new volume came out. His manga, with over 50 million copies in circulation, proved to be a mainstream success in the international market.
Tickets to the North American screening are currently available on their official website 'Attack On Titan The Movie'. Part 1 already debuted in Japan last August 1, 2015 with part 2 following on September 19, 2015.
