Suicide Squad is officially one step closer to hitting the big screen with director David Ayer's twitter post of the film's cast and crew's photo. Meanwhile, Viola Davis revealed her thoughts about Ayer, and the upcoming film.
The film's cast and crew gathered for a final picture before post-production begin for Suicide Squad. As reported by Den of Geek, the photo was posted by Ayer in his Twitter account with the caption, "It's a wrap folks! #SuicideSquad #WarnerBros #DCcomics"
Also, co-cast members Jai Courtney and Margot Robbie were seen helping a little girl in her lemonade stand. According to a report by Comingsoon.net, Robbie who plays Harley Quinn, and Courtney who plays Captain Boomerang headed to the film's wrap up party after they helped the little girl.
Meanwhile, another cast member in the person of Viola Davis revealed that fans are likely to see her character even after Suicide Squad, as she reportedly signed on for a three-movie deal with Warner Bros.
Also, as reported by Nerdist, Davis pointed out that DC has the tendency to make darker characters such as Batman, Harley Quinn, and Joker. However, Davis also added that Ayer did something in the film that made it different, and humanized DCs greatest villains.
"What he's explored is the pathology behind all of these characters, so you just get that extra spin that gives you the flavor and a look which is very different.", Davis said. The actress also added that she was blown away when she saw the trailer for the upcoming film.
"I'm blown away by the movie. Once I saw the trailer, I was like, "Oh, my God. He really is a magician." I mean, I had no idea. So, it's been a real pleasure working on it with David Ayer", she added.
Davis is set to play of Amanda Waller, along with other cast members Will Smith as Deadshot, Joel Kinnaman ass Rick Flagg, Cara Delevingne as Enchantress, KAren Fukuhara as Katana, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje as Killer Croc, Jay Hernandez as El Diablo, Adam Beach as Slipknot, and Jared Leto as the Joker. Suicide Squad is set to hit theaters in August 5, 2016.
