Last September 1, 2015 the Samsung's latest Gear S2 smartwatches have been announced in Seoul Korea. This Samsung Gear S2 is said to have two models, the regular Gear S2 and a Gear S2 classic, which will have a Wif-Fi and 2-3 day battery life.
According to Samsung Mobile Press, the latest Samsung Gear S2 arrives in a versatile, circular design with an intuitive, custom UX and progressive features that permit users to improve, personalize, and have more fun mobile experience.
The Gear S2 presents in a unique rotating bezel alongside the Home and Back buttons that guarantees users of having a more accurate method to easily access notifications and applications in a faster way.The Samsung's Gear S2 will reportedly be put up in a Dark Gray case with a Dark Gray band and Silver case with a White band. Whereas, the Samsung Gear S2 classic will be offered in a Black case with a Leather band.
The Verge reports that the Samsung's two Tizen-powered Gear S2 smartwatches aimed to cater the consumers who choose to have a more timeless watch design. Both Gear S2 watches will come in 11.4mm thick.
The main model, Gear S2 said to deliver modern, minimalist set, while a dark body and leather band reportedly boasted to the more traditional Gear S2 Classic. The Gear S2 classic comes in 39.9-by-43.6-mm dimensions and weighs 42g, reports CNET.
The site added that the Gear S2's 1.2-inch circular display has a resolution of 360 x 360 AMOLED displays. It too includes a rumored built-in NFC feature, and is powered by a dual-core 1.0 GHz processor along with 4GB of memory.
The Gear S2 models were reported set to double as portable music players. It both also comes with gyroscope, accelerometer, heart rate monitor and ambient light sensor, the trackers that will feed into S Health, Samsung's own health software. Both models said to include built-in Bluetooth 4.1 and a Wi-Fi, too. Additionally, the (non-Classic) Gear S2 was reported to feature a built-in 3G cellular capability.
A 250mAh battery that has a 2-to 3-day lifespan was reportedly promised by Samsung to deliver on the Wi-Fi Gear S2 and Gear S2 Classic models with "typical usage". Wireless Qi charging will also come along on the new Samsungs, too.
On September 3, at Tempodrum, Berlin, the new Samsung Gear S2 and Gear S2 classic were scheduled to be showcased for full media hands-on and more applications to be demonstrated with partners.
