The annual Korean Broadcast Awards was held on Thursday, with big winners, including SM Entertainment's boy group, EXO. The group won the "Musician of the Year" award in the 42nd Korea Broadcasting Awards on September 3 as reported by AllKpop. The annual ceremony celebrates achievements made by TV programs and Korean entertainers between June of the previous year to May of the current year.

According to Soompi, during the award ceremony, members Suho, Chanyeol, and Baekhyun were present to receive the award. During the group's acceptance speech, Suho stated, "Thank you so much for giving us such a huge award. We want to sincerely thank Lee Soo Man, SM family, managers, parents, and our fans EXO-L."

He further added to the speech, "We want to share this honor with the music show PD's, writers, cameramen, and staff. We will always try our best to be the k-pop star EXO." After Suho made his speech, Chanyeol and Baekhyun also extended their heart- felt gratitude to their supporters.

EXO made their comeback in 2015 with their second studio album "Exodus" on March 30 as mentioned by Storyclash. Aside from winning the Musician of the Year, the lead single of the group, "Call Me Baby", also won eighteen awards at weekly Korean music shows.

Alongside the busy schedule of the group, EXO's individual members made names for themselves too. Despite three members leaving the group, they are still blessed with different projects. Members D.O and Chanyeol even pursued their acting careers while other members, Chen and Baekhyun, made names for themselves as solo artists.

Aside from EXO, another winner of the recent Korean Broadcasting Awards includes the television show "Infinity Challenge". The show won the 'Grand Award of the Night', becoming the first variety show in 16 years to achieve the title.
