As the beta testing for PS4 Firmware Update 3.00 is on its course, many users who were lucky enough to participate in the beta program are now sharing some screenshots and videos online on some of the new system software features. Sony announced the new features for its Firmware Update on September 1. The company was still sending out invites to testers as the beta started that day as well.
Recently, some beta testers of the PS4 Firmware Update 3.00, also called as Kenshin, leaked some screenshots and videos online of its features in action. The gallery of screenshots which appeared in DualShockers would show how PS4 owners can customize their Community feature with a custom background (optional), icon, title and description. Users can also have a look into how communities appear in the list, the top menu bar, with the new "events" and Playstation Plus icons.
A video was also leaked online by a certain Youtube user SuperShad27, according to Gamepur. The video preview of PS4 Firmware Update 3.00 takes a quick tour on almost all its features. Other vital elements in the system software update include online storage capacity increase - which is from a measly 1GB to a whopping 10GB; Youtube streaming, creating Communities, the Favorite Groups add-on in the Friends app, live broadcasts, stickers, and more.
Speaking of stickers, a couple of "Uncharted 4" chat icons also appeared on Twitter by a user named Truth, mentioned in a Gaming Bolt report. This may not be a game changer alright, but this only goes to show how players can customize things in the settings of the Firmware Update 3.00 for PS4. And with the game finally having a release date, this may be a little consolation for Uncharted fans and players of the PS4 console.
It will be likely that many more screenshots and videos of the PS4 Firmware Update 3.00 will come out in the coming days as its beta program is still in progress. The beta is for those chosen with PS4 master accounts; those with sub-accounts were unable to join the program. But those who were not included in the beta can feast on these giveaway screenshots and video of the features of the system software update for PS4. And according to Sony the features announced recently were just the first batch, and many more will be included in the PS4 Firmware Update 3.00.
