As announced by Sony previously, the latest Lollipop update will also be available for Xperia C3 handsets after releasing it to the Xperia Z3, Z2, and Z1 series. Android 5.1.1 Lollipop firmware has already begun seeding for the Xperia C3 owners.
According to Xperiablog, Android 5.1.1 Lollipop brings a build number 19.4.A.0.182, which is now available across a number of regions for the Xperia C3 (D2533) and Xperia C3 Dual (D2502) models. Just go over the Settings, then click About Phones, and hit Software updates to see if the new build is already available for download. But for those users who cannot wait to receive the update and opt to download the FTF firmware files to perform manual update using Sony flash tool, there are links provided from the blog.
The Android 5.1.1 Lollipop update is expected to bring additional customization options, including camera improvements with superior auto-mode focus, silent modes, enhanced enterprise support, new alert system, and Xperia in Business features for work. In addition, it also includes an option to take a selfie through SmartWear, which means the user can use Sony's SmartWatch 3 as a remote control shutter button.
Sony Xperia C3 handset was released a year ago with an original Android 4.4.2 KitKat operating system and was upgraded to Android 5.0.2 Lollipop later on. Thus, the latest Android update rolls out to Xperia C3. The great news here is that Android 5.1.1 Lollipop is simultaneously seeding to all countries selling the handset.
Moreover, the Sony Xperia C3 smartphone comes with a 5.5-inch display with 720 by 1280 pixel resolution. It also includes Snapdragon 400 processor working in combination with 1GB of RAM. An 8GB internal storage with an expandable through microSD card slot is also available. It has an 8-megapixel rear camera with an autofocus and LED flash as well as a 5-megapixel front camera with 720 pixels and LED flash.
