A "Mad Max" mission bug is debilitating gamers to succeed in Wasteland. Players went to gaming communities and forums to air their complaints and ask other users how to go about the problem. The game had been receiving positive reviews, yet this pesky bug and other errors across platforms might sting "Mad Max"'s repute.
While the open-world game is raking in positive reviews, a crippling bug, however, is forcing players to start a new game, according to Xbox MMGN. The bug is located inside one of "Mad Max"'s early story-based missions - The Wasteland Classic. In the play, users have to upgrade an Archangel vehicle by collecting necessary parts and then return to the garage to install those gathered items in the said vehicle.
While some had passed without a fuss, others experienced the opposite, where unlocked parts would make players remain in that stage of the game, thus, start a new slate in the process in "Mad Max". This may have happened when players explored other missions and had installed their gathered parts along the way. While some suggested uninstalling all parts and fix up the required ones (marked by a green marker in the garage menu); others recommend beating a certain outpost in that region first, although the mission does not require this.
A review in PC Gamer also mentioned about this story mission bug. While "Mad Max" runs a commendable 70-80FPS on GeForce GTX 960, the annoying bug is still encountered in the game. An upgraded car seemed to be the problem, as that point in the game need not to. The player has to downgrade the car's engine to be able to resume with the mission. The video options screen cranks up as well. It doesn't save the settings in-between sessions: turning motion blur back off seem to do the fix for unknown reason; while the texture filtering goes down to 8 though.
On the other hand, Gamunation had addressed some of these issues in "Mad Max" and had given resolutions to these as well. When the controller is unresponsive or does not work, players have to make sure that they plugged just one controller. This issue usually happens among Xbox 360 owners. When the "Mad Max" game crashes in-between gameplay, updating the drivers generally solves the crashing issues. But foremost, a clean install of the drivers had to be done.
Those who are experiencing stuttering issues, during a gameplay in "Mad Max", may update their drivers, and then disable V-sync and switch from windowed mode to full screen. With concerns regarding with their controllers, this may be due to overlapping issues in its drivers. Users may unplug the controller and resume with the game.
With many gaming communities and forums present now online, players can address and easily find ways on how to fix issues with the game, in "Mad Max" for example. More often than not, developers would start releasing new patches to dampen these problems. With "Mad Max" and beyond these pesky bugs and platform errors, still, its open-world game and vehicle combat format lure in many to try out and start a game all over.
