Ellen DeGeneres has cleared once and for all the rumors against her marriage with Portia de Rossi in an interview. The comedian denied all of the allegations that they are considering divorce as she and de Rossi are still very much committed to each other.
In a report by ET Online, in an interview on Howard Stern's Sirius XM radio show, DeGeneres mentioned that opposing to recent claims, she and de Rossi, have a "boring" relationship. She also stated that as a couple, they never fight and not once we're that they decided to break up.
DeGeneres also added, "We don't know anything about it until somebody tells us," she said. "I don't read the tabloids, and I don't have a publicist." The host talk show host is also in awe why her marriage had gotten so much attention from the media. She ended the issue by claiming that they are "kind of flattered" by how they are getting too much attention.
As a matter of fact, it wasn't the first time that DeGeneras talked about their divorce controversies. According to Huffington Post, the host also previously slammed rumors about her divorce with Portia just last year during her show. She allegedly called out the tabloid's attention and told the headlines pertaining to their divorce as "ridiculous". She also claimed that the only thing she and Portia argue about is who loves who more.
Previously, it was reported that DeGeneres and de Rossi have purportedly went to a couple's therapy to sort out their marriage troubles. As mentioned by Celeb Dirty Laundry, a source told Star Magazine that the couple is on the healing process.
The source also claimed, "It was a very unhealthy situation, but they have begun the healing process. They are finally dealing with their issues. Portia often complains that she feels bullied. With Ellen's show on hiatus for the summer, she is home bossing Portia around all day and expecting her to be at her beck and call."
In related news, the host also talked about Caitlyn Jenner, who was a guest on the season opener of her daytime talk show. She admitted that the "I Am Cait" star's thoughts on gay marriage confused DeGeneres. "She still has a judgment about gay marriage," the host stated. "I said, 'You're wanting people to understand and accept you. And you still have a judgment about gay people, and marriage." The comedian concluded by saying, "I don't fully understand all of that, but I want her to be happy. Which is what I want for her, for me."
Meanwhile, amidst the divorce speculations, DeGeneres' morning talk show recently earned some of the highest ratings of its entire run. And seemingly, the ratings are high because of the well-timed interviews and a brief location change.
