OnePlus' newest device to be released later this year; OnePlus 3 name not yet confirmed

Later this year, a third smartphone from OnePlus is expected to be released. There are rumors that it will be called OnePlus 3, but some reports suggest that the upcoming device is not a successor of the previous models.

Carl Pei, OnePlus Chief Executive Officer and co-founder, has confirmed last month that their manufacturer is already starting to develop a new smartphone, just right after the release of OnePlus 2. However, some says that OnePlus 3 could be something else that will surprise everyone. Whether this rumor is true or otherwise, all OnePlus spectators won't have to wait long to find out what it is. At the end of this year, OnePlus' new device will be revealed.

This Chinese smartphone manufacturer is reported to be working on a new handset for everyone. But OnePlus remains very tight-lipped about the matter, even the name of the device has not been given. One thing is for sure though; the device will be very promising and that it will live up to the company's motto: "Never settle."

As reported by Android Pit, the design of the previous generations has lacked stand-out features. It is expected that this mystery phone would keep that handy button that allows the user to switch between notifications as well as the black sandstone cover that makes the handset looks stronger than ever. Other expectations are the new device must have a USB type C port and hopefully uses Snapdragon 820, Qualcomm's best chip. This new processor could solve the overheating issues of the OnePlus' previous models.

Despite all the rumors and expectations about the mystery device, a next-generation smartphone cannot be ruled out. Nonetheless, the new OnePlus device will definitely have a great value for money along with remarkable features. After all, this is the key selling point of OnePlus. Everyone just needs to relax and wait for the official announcements in the coming days.
