Fans of George R. R. Martin can now expect the sixth installment of "A Song of Ice and Fire" book series to drop next year. Recently, the Spanish publisher of the renowned author confirmed the news, causing celebration among fans.
Specific details about the release of "The Winds of Winter" are yet to be released but as per editor Alejo Cuervo's interview with the Spanish radio show, "El Mon RAC1," the most awaited book will drop on 2016, Vulture reported. Cuervo however, added that although the publishers are "confident" that the book will be released in time, there is still no assurance since "a meteor could fall."
The countless teases about the book's release date are tortures for fans that have been waiting for the book series' continuation since 2011, the year that "A Dance with Dragons" was released. Previously, Ian Beattie, who plays Ser Meryn Trant in "Game of Thrones," sat down with IGN and shared that GRRM told him a lot about his character. Beattie did not spill specific details but gave his own theory about the show and the upcoming book.
"There are things that are going to be happening in book six. I do, once again, have my own theory that anybody who is alive at the end of book five but who met their fate in Season 5, I would be surprised if they didn't catch up quite quick in book six.
Beattie is also quite confident that GRRM will have a conversation with GOT's creators David Benioff and D. B. Weiss to "tie it all up very nicely for the fans."
One of the latest reports about "The Winds of Winter" also include the confirmation that Stannis Baratheon is not yet dead in the sixth sequel as well as an recently released excerpt from the book, which contains the point of view of Dornish Princess Arianne Martel.
All the questions and speculations about "A Song of Ice and Fire" sixth book installment will be answered and clarified on 2016, as per George R. R. Martin's Spanish publisher.
