'Dishonored 2' Update: New Trailer Breaks Down Gameplay Info; Corvo, Emily Will Be Voiced

By

While it has already been revealed that Emily Kaldwin will have her stage in "Dishonored 2", this time around, Arkane Studios unveiled details regarding the game's reveal trailer that was first seen at E3 last June. The two protagonists - Corvo and Emily - will be voiced as well in this "Dishonored" sequel.

Arkane Studios made a follow-up video regarding the "Dishonored 2" reveal trailer that was originally shown during E3. The "trailer breakdown" video showed Arkane co-creative director Harvey Smith explaining some of the major particulars and how all these will turn out in the sequel of "Dishonored", according to Design & Trend. A new level will be introduced that is called The Clockwork Mansion. The clockwork palace was shown in the trailer.

Clockwork soldiers will be seen again in the second installment. These grim-looking guards are powered by whale oil, in which the city where "Dishonored 2" takes place in imports such substance to be used also and sustain wind power. There will be other versions of these clockwork robots, not just the ones in the trailer; which includes a rather taller, more imposing wooden version with a creepy bird-like head. They possess two "faces" - one on the front and on the back - which will allow them to have two simultaneous vision cones, making the stealth action part more difficult for players, since going behind these two-faced enemies will prove to be dangerous as well.

Accordingly, these fighting soldier-robots in "Dishonored 2" are very important to the Aristocrats and friends of the Duke at that time, as they serve as their bodyguards, as mentioned in a Christian Post report. Smith added, "they are fun enemies to fight, they can do all kind of things in combat." As the game progresses, players will find out Karnaca and Serknos' connection to the Dunwall whale oil industry.

In the first "Dishonored" title, Corvo was mute the entire time, just working and observing silently his environment and of others. But the sequel will be seeing, or, be hearing the former Royal Protector this time around. Emily will have her voice part as well. This was confirmed by Smith, according to a report in PC Games. Asked if the two will be voiced in "Dishonored 2", Smith simply replied, "yes, both".

The young Emily was voiced by movie celeb Chloe Grace Moretz. Although Emily will be older in "Dishonored 2", it is yet to be known if Moretz would qualify for the part. On the other hand, Michael Madsen voiced over Daud, who was a playable character in the game's two expansions.

"Dishonored 2" is set 15 years after the events in the first installment. It was also 15 years after the Dunwall Plague; and in this game will come out a 25-year-old proficient assassin in Emily. Both Corvo and Emily can now be played in the "Dishonored" sequel. "Dishonored 2" is scheduled to be released sometime in 2016.
