The movie star and former California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger will become the newest host of the show "The Celebrity Apprentice." The actor, who replaces Donald Trump on the reality series of NBC, is now headed for the boardroom.

NBC announced on Monday that the two-term governor will host the reality competition show which is expected to appear on 2016 television season. Since leaving the government office in 2011, Schwarzenegger has recently seen in "The Expendables" and "Terminator Genisys" films. He also appeared on the small screen during the finale of the series Two and a Half Men.

"Celebrity Apprentice" has been achieving solid ratings for NBC. The season finale had 6.0 million viewers overall from 8-10:01 p.m. ET as observed by Zap2it. However, NBC declared at the Television Critics Association during the summer press tour that the The Celebrity Apprentice would not return to television until the 2016-2017 season.

Donald Trump made the "The Celebrity Apprentice" a success with regular folks and celebrities competing in various business-related tasks. NBC said that the show has helped raise over $15 million for charity in the last seven seasons. The former reality television host left the show in 2004 after his decision to run for presidency in a video uploaded by Time. His declaration took place at Trump Tower in New York City. Trump congratulated Schwarzenegger on Twitter right after the news broke.

Schwarzenegger, who confessed to be a huge fan of "The Celebrity Apprentice", seems to be eager to start filming the series as he joins the upcoming 15th season of The Apprentice franchise. He will also act as an executive producer for the show along with Burnett, Eric Van Wagenen, and Page Feldman. The former California governor is known to have a wide range of business holdings which include restaurants, real estate development, and sports franchises.

While NBC has no confirmation about the exact date when "Celebrity Apprentice" will be back to the airwaves, many viewers are waiting for the show. Will Schwarzenegger repeat Trump's "you're fired" catchphrase or will he replace it with his own "you're terminated?"
