A 'Black Panther' Easter egg was uncovered from a fleeting scene in the recent 'Avengers: Age of Ultron'. It formed a connection between the character Ulysses Klaue and T'Chaka, Black Panther's father. The films spanning the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) are often riddled with numerous hidden messages and clues pertaining to various other movies in the franchise.
According to Over Mental, hawk-eyed fans were able to decipher a shot of a file on Klaue that established the relationship between the black market smuggler and T'Chaka, the chieftain of Wakanda.
The text on the file read, "Ulysses Klaue was an assassin hired to take down T'Chaka at the Bilderberg conference in the case that he refused to negotiate Wakanda's resources including Vibranium. But, Klaue was also there personally, as the Panther killed his great-grandfather in the 19th century while this one was trying to annex Wakanda. He was paid ten million dollars for the kill."
Klaue, or Klaw otherwise named in the Marvel comic books, is a gangster operating and dealing in arms out of South Africa. Andy Serkis took on the role of the expert thief and assassin in the film 'Avengers: Age of Ultron', according to Screen Crush. If the comic books are to be followed, the character will transform into a supervillain with superhuman strength and the power yielding the energy of Vibranium.
It remains unclear how much of the stories in the comic book series will make it on the big screen adaptation. Another article by Slash Film wrote that Klaue supposedly goes into T'Chaka's native Wakanda in search of Vibranium and eventually kills T'Chaka for not surrendering the resource. Ultron may have taken Klaue's arm in 'Age of Ultron' but in the comics it was a young T'Challa a.k.a. Black Panther that maimed him for life.
'Black Panther' is an upcoming film in the MCU and will be its 19th installment. It will also be the seventh in Phase Three to be released on July 6, 2018. No other cast members have been confirmed apart from Chadwick Boseman who will carry the titular role of T'Challa/Black Panther.
