Allegedly, Samsung Galaxy A9 handset underwent a benchmark test at Geekbench just recently. Though Samsung has been very tight-lipped about its new Android-powered "A" line of smartphones, a lot of rumors and speculations have already circulated around the Internet.

Samsung Galaxy A series is composed of upper mid-ranging handsets created with good quality. The South Korean tech company might just expand its smartphone lineup with a new model by the end of the year, making the Galaxy A9 possible.

As reported by G for Games, another mysterious Samsung device was found in Geekbench's database. G for Games managed to get a hold of a specification sheet of an unnamed Samsung handset and assumed that the device must be the Samsung Galaxy A9, as the features were clear upgrades of the current Galaxy A8.

The Galaxy A8 comes with a Snapdragon 615 chipset under the hood with 2GB of RAM and Android 5.1 Lollipop operating system. With the said benchmark test, it is absolutely evident that the unknown smartphone might just be the Samsung Galaxy A9.

According to the data sheet found, the benchmarking test showed that the device will be powered by a 1.40GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 620 (MSM8976) processor, 3GB of RAM, and will run on Android 5.1.1 Lollipop operating system out of the box. The device scored 1325 points in the single-core test, while in the multi-core test, it garnered a 4461 score.

The Snapdragon 620 has revealed a pretty good performance during its benchmark tests with the other devices. It is also an advanced processor which helps any device to perform at its best. Thus, it might just be the ideal chipset for the Samsung Galaxy A9.

Whether these speculations are true or otherwise, still Samsung is planning to offer a new device for all of its users and spectators very soon. Hence, everyone must wait for it.
