Issues, debates and speculations among Zelda and Nintendo fans corollary to its delay. The latest discussion, however, is about a protest against the alleged change in the game's visual style.
Design & Trend reports that Zelda experts imply a possible graphical changes being outlined for the game. Author Nathanial Rumphol-Janc speculates that Nintendo may have been hesitant on revealing some news or updates in the development of the next game in the Zelda franchise. The latest sneak revealed was still on E3 2014 but some has concluded that a lot may have changed since then.
Such yearning for a speck of information regarding the game progress made fans to ask if Nintendo was guilty of designing The Legend of Zelda Wii U in the same manner and art of The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker HD. Trending issues and discussions on the game's delay has prompted Project Director Eiji Aonuma to explain the lack of updates. He vaguely said that the team plans to utilize extra time as far as a "truly revolutionary experience demands".
On the other hand, iDigital Times have also expressed its waning interest in keeping up with the progress of The Legend of Zelda Wii U. Having themselves caught in a deep, deep lull as fans long for news, the site simply commented that the disappointment may turn players want to play The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess once more as a resolution and such will be the case until the company finally announces the Nintendo NX.
Recently, a report which surfaced last September 15 shed some light to the disappointed fans which hinted a possibility of a new story. According to Reality Today, the news, was said to be another product of fan speculation. One thing certain is that Nintendo has been successful in creating public excitement for the game. As a product of thirst for official announcements, fans and players had resorted to praying that The Legend of Zelda Wii U be not created based on its predecessors, and that they see a new antagonist. Some even complained being tired of facing the main antagonist, Ganondorf, over and over again and wished to fight a different big villain. Others demand new protagonists as well. Such anticipation adds to the hasty assumption that the Zelda game is to be announced with the launch of Nintendo NX as it may have been poised to be playable on such console.
As of the moment, official announcements and even leaks of some sort are still to no avail. Fan disappointment seemed to continue and players' agony prolongs while speculations and assumptions point to one thing: that the game be more liberal and not be in a matter monotonous with its previous franchises.
