On its eleventh year, "Criminal Minds" steps out of its usual episode by episode approach and serialize its eleventh season. The said change is expected to give more excitement and suspense to the show which the audience would go crazy about starting September 30.

Reality Today writes that show runner Erica Messer thinks their audience is ready for a serialize approach to the show. With this the audience will be led to follow the FBI Behavioral Analysis Unit as they go after a group of assassins who are called "The Dirty Dozen" topped with a spy plot in the show as a "mole" leaks confidential information out from the unit.

As practiced by the producers of the show, villainous characters that the team will go against will be introduced at various points in the show. In this season though, BAU will be challenged by enemies with special set of expertise who act as a team. For now the only detail shared about the villains is that one will be a silent killer who uses injections on his victims and paints their faces as reported by Christian Post.

Aside from being faced with "The Dirty Dozen", BAU is being stabbed at its back by a mole within it. The trailer for season 11 however, did not leak any identity of the said spy.

For some details in season 11, Messer shared with Entertainment Weekly as reported still by Christian Post an interesting scene with Spencer Reid who will have to use his knowledge to take down an opponent. "It's not a standoff with a gun, it's a Reid version of a take down", explained Messer.

Still on Reid, after the death of his fiancée on the hands of a psychopath a few seasons back the show runners are planning on giving Reid a person to build a relationship with in Season 11 according to Day Herald. The writers are developing a new character to fill in the shoes of Kate Callahan (Jennifer Love Hewitt) as his partner in BAU in the name of Dr. Tara Lewis (Aisha Tyler) with whom he will have relationship with.

The serial approach being tried out in the eleventh season of "Criminal Minds" could generate more t views of the show. The only way to find out the success of such approach is to follow through each episode starting on September 30 on CBS.
