"Star Wars: Episode VII - The Force Awakens" Movie Update: Mark Hamill confirmed near-death experience untrue; film features more Jedi?

Actor Mark Hamill was recently rumored to have a near-death experience while filming "Star Wars: Episode VII - The Force Awakens" in Ireland. The 63-year-old actor, however, confirmed that it is not true. Meanwhile, the film is believed to feature more Jedi.

According to Metro, rumors about Hamill's near demise on the set of "Star Wars: Episode VII - The Force Awakens" are extremely exaggerated and that filming actually went "splendidly", as the actor described it.

The Sunday Times previously reported that the actor, who is reprising his role as Luke Skywalker for the seventh Star Wars film, courted death after slipping on the treacherous mountainside of Skellig Michael.

Fortunately for the fans, Hamill claims that "this story is completely untrue" and that "fabricated stories usually contain a seed of truth." The actor continues to state, "Didn't so much as stub a toe on Skellig Michael. But thanks for your concern!"

It is safe to say that the Force was with Hamill during that time, especially considering that two people have fallen to their deaths on the 618-step climb in recent years - both of which in separate accounts. In fact, this resulted to new safety chains being installed.

In related news, The Christian Post reported that the forthcoming film is expected to feature more Jedi. A line from Kylo Ren, to be played by Adam Driver, seemed to confirm the addition. It said, "Together we will destroy the Resistance and the last Jedi."

"Star Wars: Episode VII - The Force Awakens," which is set for release on December 18, has since started production in the island of Skellig Michael, a UNESCO heritage site and bird sanctuary. The production is believed to jump into real legislative barriers with the Irish government just to be granted with the permission to shoot on the said secluded island.

Based on the rumors about Mark Hamill's near-death experience, in which the actor said it's untrue, fans can expect "Star Wars: Episode VII - The Force Awakens" to be something really interesting - let alone the possibility of featuring more Jedi.
