Microsoft is expected to unveil its new Microsoft band 2 that bears the Codename 'Evvoy' this coming October 6. The device's leaked renders said to reveal its new curved design and metallic finish.

According to Indian Express, the images of Microsoft band 2 was released by a Spanish site Microsoft Insider and claimed that these are the official renders of the latest wearable from Redmond.

The leaked renders of Microsoft Band 2 reveal its features of curved display and a new metallic finish around that curved display. It is said that Microsoft has received a lot of criticism on its first Band's design.

The original Band from Microsoft worked on a custom wearable architecture and it will be exciting to witness whether Microsoft will scale down its newest Windows 10 operating system to Microsoft Band 2 and IoT scenario.

The latest fitness tracker codenamed "Envoy" is said to sport a better design than its predecessor model. The leaked images clearly reveal that it will come in curved display. This curved construction will let the users experience a better fit in the wrist, International business Times wrote.

Moreover, the new Microsoft Band 2 will sport all the sensors including the heart rate monitor, accelerometer, GPS, microphone, ambient sensor, Galvanic Skin Response (GSR) and UV sensor that are all available on the first Microsoft Band as well. It will also have the ability to measure the height of workouts.

Owners of smartphones running on Windows Phone, iOS and Apple are also reported able of utilizing the Health app from the Redmond giant to sync health data for exercise. A sleep monitoring feature is anticipated to be included with the new Microsoft Band 2 as well. Same as with its first version, It will allegedly have two buttons, too.

As for more of its specification information, a report from Windows Central stated that the battery of Microsoft band 2 appears to be positioned on the underside of the color display instead of the sides. A slight metallic accent on the sides is now being featured in the Microsoft Band 2 that gives it a contrasting appearance.

One report claims that the forthcoming Microsoft Band 2 is due this fall and will be announced at an event this coming October 6.
