Mass Effect 4 has been a common name for the past number of months it has been announced. While in the topic of common names, a familiar face has returned to the company that made waves in the gaming industry.
According to Game Spot, Drew Karpyshyn, a former lead writer on the Mass Effect series, recently announced his return to BioWare, after an absence from the company for over 3 years. This could mean great things for BioWare, apart from the fact that Mass Effect 4 is the latest title to make impact in the industry.
As reported by Cinema Blend, Karpyshyn was recognized as one of the establishing writers behind the title, Knights of the Old Republic. Karpyshyn was noted for the Mass Effect and Mass Effect 2 installments, but was remember to have left the studio back in February of 2012 to and went on to write novels and other non-game related subjects.
Delivered by PCGamesN, Karpyshyn's site explained that the 12-year veteran has completed his book trilogy, leading to the decision of regrouping with the rest of BioWare. He said, "I am back working at BioWare again. For those who don't know, I spent over a decade with BioWare working on many award winning and fan-beloved games. A few years ago I left BioWare to focus on my Chaos Born novels, but now that the trilogy is finished, I've decided to come back into the fold. Working at BioWare was a challenging but very rewarding job, and it's good to be back as part of the team."
In other news about Karpyshyn, he declared that he will be part of the Austin studio, to work on Star Wars: The Old Republic. Moreover, he said that he feels that people might assume of BioWare to announce a new upcoming project, but he quickly denied it and will focus on the game in progress as before.
Mass Effect 4 has been said to cover the holiday months of 2016. This will be launched in the new PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
