The 22-year-old pop princess is known for her trade mark high ponytail that lies smoothly down her back; however, after reportedly having her hair repaired due to severe hair damage, the "One Last Time" singer proudly showed off her natural short curls that she plans on keeping.
According to MTV, Ariana Grande proudly showed her natural hair off by posting several pictures and videos on her instagram account. The 22-year-old captioned one of those with "took us a while to get these babies back but they're here, feel like my old self again!! thank you @dalinaway for taking such good care of my hair every day."
In a report from Hollywood Life, the young singer had previously been criticised for not changing her hair style for years. According to Ariana, the look she is so famously known for is the only look she can pull off due to damage her hair has received after dying it red when she was younger.
After years of keeping the same look, Ariana can now finally show off her new damage-free natural curls. According to the report, it was on September 20th when the pop princess debuted her new look. In her first selfie, which showed her natural hair for all her 43.6 million followers to see, Ariana proudly captioned the pictured with "peekaboo healthy curls long time no see."
In another report from US Magazine, Ariana also posted a couple of videos that featured her new hairdo. Laughing in the video that her hair reminds her of her dog Ophelia, Grande happily laughed out, "Ophelia, we match!!!!!!"
The tabloid also reported on how Ariana admitted bleaching and dying her hair red every other week for 4 years. Having a main role on the hit Nickelodeon show "Victorious," Ariana had to sacrifice her luscious locks and damage it along the way.
With her new undamaged natural curly hair back, Ariana Grande is as confident as ever, feeling like her old self. Apparently, the famous singer had to wear extensions and ponytails for years just to cover up the damaged hair she had.
