Gamesradar+ shared a new trailer released by Lionsgate in preparation for the upcoming film "Knock Knock" written and directed by Eli Roth. The trailer shows Keanu Reeves doing some work in his computer when he hears something from the living room. He cautiously goes to check only to be hit at the back of the head by a mysterious woman. When he regained consciousness, he finds himself tied to the bed. The trailer then shows the chaos that followed as Keanu tries to get away from the two women. The last part of the trailer rewinds to Keanu opening his front door after hearing someone knocking on his door.
ComingSoon reports that Keanu Reeves shared a few details on the predicament of his character in "Knock Knock" during a film interview. Reeve's is quoted saying "[He's] an architect, family man, two kids, family's away for the weekend. He's working... [knocks] opens the door and two lovely young ladies (Nicolas Lopez and Guillermo Amoedo) are there, dripping wet from the rain in party clothes. 'We're lost! Can you help us? Can we come in?' Then they kind of come on to me, seduce me, and then I do it, then wake up in the morning and they're not leaving. They want to exact some revenge and punishment..." Overall, he actually finds the film fun.
Collider writes about director Eli Roth's "Knock Knock" as a film that is totally uninteresting. The words "films less interestingly, more sadistic, and overall intensely forgettable, if not outright disposable" were used to describe the movie. Roth's works were laid in accordance to a promising one such as "Cabin Fever" then slid down to the two "Hostel" movies, then a notch lower to "Hemlock Grove" then "Lilyhammer." "The Green Inferno" was just below the latter then flat to his latest motion picture. Whatever the dislikes on the horror meister's films, the report states that Roth will be able to go back up to the level of his debut film.
"Knock Knock" directed and written by Eli Roth is set to release in theaters on October 9, 2015. With the new trailer recently released by Lionsgate, moviegoers will have an idea what's in store for them. Keanu Reeves plays the lead role alongside Ana De Armas and Lorenza Izzo. Hopefully, Eli Roth's upcoming film will perform well in the box office to negate any speculations of him losing his luster in terms of making quality movies.
