'Underworld 5' Movie Updates: Sherlock's star Lara Pulver casts a role; Filming starts October in Prague

Two weeks ago, a set of characters has been revealed. Now, the upcoming fifth sequel franchise of "Underworld" has announced a new character to be taking a part in the future movie.

It was confirmed on Deadline that Lara Pulver, best known as Irene Adler in the second season of the BBC series Sherlock, will be joining the casts of the "Underworld 5". Pulver was also seen on TV series such as True Blood and Da Vinci's Demons. She appeared in feature films like Edge of Tomorrow, and Language of a Broken Heart.

Den of Geek reported that the sequel is obviously not a reboot but, it tries to invite more fans to the franchise. Bradley James, a star in Merlin, iZombie and Damien, has signed to play the main villain in the fifth installment. In addition with the casts, Kate Beckinsale (Stonehearts Asylum) will reprise her role. Theo James (Divergent) and Tobias Menzies (Game of Thrones) will also be featured in the upcoming movie.

With Anna Foerster occupying the director's chair, an article on Coming Soon has stated that the filming will start in Prague next month or before the year ends. Cory Goodman (Priest, The Last Witch Hunter) is set to write the script alongside Tom Rosenberg, Gary Lucchesi, David Ken, Len Wiseman and Richard S. Wright as the producers.

Under the direction of Len Wiseman, the first "Underworld" which was released in 2003 follows the journey of the vampire "Death Dealer", Selene (Kate Beckinsale), who was captured in the war between vampires and Lycans. In 2006, Underworld: Evolution was out followed by Underworld: Rise of the Lycans in 2009 and Underworld: Awakening in 2012. The first four movies earned a total of $450 million worldwide.

Lara Pulver's role has been kept concealed yet. But, fans will get to see her on October 21, 2015.
