After months of deliberating, Paramount Pictures has finally found its writer for "Transformers 5". With that being said, the project may now progress. Aside from that, the crew list is slowly being filled up except the director's chair.
Recently, Michael Bay, director of "Transformers: Age of Extinction", has posted a tweet on his Twitter Feed regarding the next film of the Transformers series. Many assumed that he will be back for the director's chair but, according to him, it is still uncertain.
"Re: directing TF5. No, it's not official. I have not committed to any idea as of yet. Just met with Steven and we are discussing."
Although the project is moving forward, Paramount has promised that "Transformers 5" will have some changes to be observed by the time it hits the cinemas. Since enormous fragments are moving into place, Cinemablend noted that Michael Bay plans to move on with filmmaking without involving with the Transformers movie series. He insisted that he wants to make new movies.
Deadline confirmed that Akiva Goldsman, an Oscar and Academy award winner, is prompting the writers room progressing the future of the franchise movie. The sequel film has imprinted a role for Mark Wahlberg. Alongside them, Andrew Barrer and Gabriel Ferrari are assigned to pen the animated feature focusing on the story of origin on the planet Cybertron.
The Transformers writers also included Robert Kirkman (The Walking Dead creator), Art Marcum and Matt Holloway (Iron Man), Jeff Pinkner (Fringe), Zak Penn (X-Men: The Last Stand), Ken Nolan (Black Hawk Down), Geneva Robertson-Dworetrepeat (Black List), Christina Hodson, Steven DeKnight and Lindsey Beer.
The other writers also bear a list of ideas for prequels, aftermath, sequels, and other monotony of the Hasbro toy line that can be adapted into movies. Ultimately, about five feasible ideas came out of the huge brainstorming session.
The team aims to reap the best collaborative reports and it seemed like they have achieved it. But, will Michael Bay change his mind and direct "Transformers 5"?
