This year's ipad Mini 4 has acquired some changes for adding some additional RAM and a faster A8 processor. Moreover, it boasts a display that has 2% screen reflectance and 101% of the RGB color gamut.
Technobuffalo reported that DisplayMate has recently tested the iPad Mini 4's screen and found that it is much less vulnerable to reflections. This means that viewing in more conditions will be easier, and will make the colors to be more accurate.
According to to testing and calibration firm DisplayMate, the Ipad Mini 4 appears to have an impressive color reproduction and how much ambient light it reflects. Hence, the new iPad mini 4 undeniably boasts a display feature that is really better than its predecessors, reports Apple Insider.
Now, the Apple's iPad Mini 4 covers "a full and very accurate" 101 % of the sRGB color gamut. Earlier Mini models managed just 62 percent of the gamut along with a weak color saturation to boot. It is said that the new tablet's color precision puts it the same with the iPad Air 2 and with the recent iPhone models, too.
Furthermore, the new iPad Mini version has a screen reflectance of only 2 percent; better not only than the 6.5 percent on the Mini 3 but the 2.5 percent of the Air 2 which was the DisplayMate's former record holder. Most of today's tablets are described to have a reflectance between 5 and 6.5 percent. To maintain the contrast and color saturation under intense lighting particularly on outdoors, minimizing reflectance would be significant.
9to5mac noted that DisplayMate also stated that when it comes to colors and color accuracy, the iPad mini 4 now matches all of the other iPads. Thus, it means that with "the entire mobile iOS product line a user can now witness a color matched photos and screen images.
For pricing concern, the iPad Mini 4 which has a 16GB of storage and WiFi can be purchased at 399 dollars while it's another variant that has a Wi-Fi + can be purchased at about 529 dollars.
