Azealia Banks recently went wild on a domestic flight with Delta Airlines. The 24-year-old singer was videoed cursing and getting physical with a flight attendant and a French man after landing at Los Angeles. Though the whole incident wasn't caught on camera, witnesses on the flight stepped forward and gave their side of the story.
In a report from TMZ, Azealia Banks was on a flight from New York to Los Angeles last Monday night when she went insane shortly after the plane landed around 1AM. According to some witnesses of the incident, Banks made a beeline for the front door as soon as the plane landed. The 24-year-old singer then tried to retrieve her bags from the above baggage holders but couldn't as a French couple were blocking their exit; the couple were also getting their luggage.
When the singer tried to squeeze pass the couple, the French man put his hands out blocking the way as he continued to get his and his wife's belongings. Apparently it was after this when Azealia went mad; the American rapper starting spitting and punching the French man in his face while clawing his shirt. After losing her balance and falling back in her seat, a flight attendant arrives to calm down the hysterical singer but is cursed at by Banks homophobic insult, "f***ing f***ot."
In another report from The Guardian, though Banks tweeted that she was punched by the French man, but witnesses say otherwise. The co-pilot was also called to the scene during the commotion, and after informing the rapper that the police had been called, Azealia made a run for it dropping her phone.
Delta Airlines have since then reported on the situation stating that they are currently looking into what actually happened. The French couple decided not to press charges after stating they were on holiday and didn't want to get caught up in all the fuss.
According to BBC UK, after deleting various tweets stating her side of the story, the 24-year-old then tweeted more 'appropriate' tweets claiming she was wrongly treated due to her race. Being videoed saying the homophobic insult she fired at the innocent flight attendant, Banks also stated "I am bisexual. my brother is trans. My employees are all gay men. . Nothing else to say."
Luckily for Azealia Banks no charges have been pressed. Though the flight attendant that was wrongly cursed at has yet to make a statement or comment on the incident, with Delta Airlines stating that they are still looking into the situation, updates of the commotion are expected very soon.
