Microsoft might be launching the new Surface Pro 4 next month and it might compete with the recently released iPad Pro by Apple.
Why would the Microsoft Surface Pro 4 compete with the Apple iPad Pro? For starters, they are both tablets that are aiming to replace laptops or netbooks by simply adding a keyboard.
The previous Surface Pro didn't do so well the first time, but it seems like Redmond is taking another chance. Microsoft has scheduled an event on October 6, according to Latinos Post. The tech giant is expected to launch other products as well such as the new Lumia 950 smartphones.
Microsoft hasn't revealed any details yet regarding the hardware event next month. However, it is expected that the devices would be powered by the new Windows 10 operating system.
Apple has been reportedly having trouble with the iPad Pro and how it would sell in the enterprise market. EWeek reported that the Microsoft Surface Pro 4 will also compete with Apple's new tablet for enterprise customers and clients.
Rumors regarding the Microsoft Surface Pro 4 include: a 4K resolution screen with both 12-inch and 14-inch variants, 16 GB of RAM and an expensive price tag of $1300. Specs-wise, the tablet is already a killer.
However, interested buyers and customers might have to wait for a while. The Microsoft Surface Pro 4 is rumored to feature Intel's new and more powerful Skylake chips, according to Vine Report. Delays on the release date are to be expected.
There is also a rumored base model for $500. This will include a much smaller 4GB RAM. For a tablet, it isn't bad at all.
The Microsoft Surface Pro 4 is also rumored to be powered by a massive 8600mAh battery. It will also have an HDMI port and the new Type-C USB port.
Microsoft has invited the press to an October 6 event. It could be the launching of the Surface Pro 4.
