More than two years after its launch, Google Keep is now finally available for download not only to Android or Web, but to iOS as well. Mountain View has announced this good news today. This application allows the user to arrange notes into a sticky note-like interface.
Google has finally decided to bring its note-taking application to iPhones and iPads. Google Keep can be downloaded for free through App Store and iTunes now. This one offers more than Apple's new Notes application. It is designed to be a one-stop shop for pulling in users' thoughts from around the Web. Additionally it has proven to be very handy for those times when the user needs to save an image or voice memo recording, jot something down, or put together a quick checklist.
The notes look like a series of colored, rectangular Post-Its, which comes with different colors along with images, checklists, and audio. It is also possible to share notes through Keep, in order for users to work collectively on things like joint packing lists. In addition, the notes are synced with the users' Google accounts so they can access them across devices.
Furthermore, users can also set time and location-based reminders as well as automatically transcribes record voice memos to Google Keep. Though it may not be as full-featured as Evernote, still Keep is one great application that helps everyone become more organized.
Given that Keep is from Google, one of its greatest features would be the search. Users can easily search for notes by color, tags, or if they have attached a reminder. All texts from the transcribed audio notes and within images embedded are also searchable.
On the whole, Google Keep is an ideal application for those users who love to take notes in a whole new advanced level. Now that Apple has the Google Keep, it could mean that more applications will be available to iOS in the future.
