Robert Pattinson may have played the hunky vampire in the hit drama franchise, "Twilight," but on his latest interview, he revealed that if not for his acting career, he could have gained more weight. He claimed his slow metabolism is keeping his weight up.
In his interview with The Times UK, which was published on Monday, Sept. 21, Pattinson has been very grateful that vanity is required in the job he chose. The actor, who played Edward Cullen in the hit movie told the tabloid that his six-pack was really hard to maintain, Perez Hilton reports. He confessed that when he was younger, it's easy to get back into shape as he just have to workout days before his shooting days. However, he also admitted that it's totally a different thing now.
"I'm so glad about the vanity required in this job because if I didn't have to stay in shape, I'd be such a fat arse," Pattinson said. "But it used to be that I could start working out four weeks before a job and it would be totally fine."
At one point, the 29-year-old British actor claimed that he had to take a vacation secretly because he's afraid that people would see and photographed his gut, E! News Reports. Pattinson's interview comes before his latest film, "Life," was released to UK theaters. The movie will hit the theaters in U.S. on Dec. 4. He played the role of James Dean's friend, Dennis Stock, a photographer, who took his iconic 1955 photo on one rainy day in New York street.
Meanwhile, in an interview with NME Magazine, Pattinson claimed that his role in the "Twilight" film had made him so popular that people started following him anywhere he goes, PEOPLE reports. He said, now his life is better with lesser "Twi-Hards" fans.
"I had people sitting outside my house every single day, and it drove me crazy," Pattinson told the British music magazine. "I didn't go into a supermarket for about six years. But now I can go in and chat to the guy who's working there about his kids, or where he's going on holiday."
Pattinson's latest photos can reassure that the actor is indeed gaining weight. Does this also mean that his fiancée, FKA Twigs is making the hunk actor healthier before their intended wedding?
