Call of Duty Black Ops 3 has surely gone through a lot of critical changes over the past months, and as the days go by, there is only so much to look out for-but Treyarch's series just made the scene much, much bigger. The upcoming series is about to go on a whole different level, and gamers are in for a wild ride with Call of Duty World League and the Call of Duty Championship.

According to Inquisitr, Treyarch looks to seal the deal in making sure that the Call of Duty franchise stays on top of the first-person shooter genre food chain. That desire led them to release Call of Duty World League, as well as the Call of Duty Championship to the public.

Reported by Express, the main goal of the said additions to the system looks to make fans and gamers of the franchise more inclined to an interactive environment as the community of the franchise expands drastically. Treyarch also looks to have the professional gamers enter the leagues, inspiring many casual gamers and upcoming competitors who aim to be in the society of Call of Duty.

In definition, the Call of Duty World League is comprised of two divisions that will eventually forward to the grand finale of the action-packed Call of Duty season, as well as the greatest electronic sports event, the Call of Duty Championship. The Pro Division and the Challenge Division will be determining factors as to who will make it to the very end.

Delivered by Gaming Bolt, the Pro Division will be composed of professional teams, as the name implies, from North America, Europe, Australia and New Zealand, engaging in regional contests which will earn them entry to the Call of Duty Championship on January 2016. On the other hand, the Challenge Division gives way to the more amateur players, in which the winning teams can get the opportunity to also be in Call of Duty Championship to go against other teams in official LAN events.

Mark Lamia, Treyarch's Studio Head, believed greatly in the strength that the players of the Call of Duty series has for the first-person shooter industry. He was quoted saying, "Treyarch's passion for competitive gaming precedes Call of Duty: Black Ops II, a heritage that inspired us to introduce dedicated eSports features into the franchise and one that compelled us to push the boundaries of Call of Duty: Black Ops III's offerings beyond anything we've delivered before.".
