Johnny Depp and Amber Heard support hearing aid foundation in Brazil; Actress left in tears after overwhelming success of the charitable event

Johnny Depp and wife Amber Heard recently spent their day helping out those in need of hearing aids. The famous celebrity couple took to Brazil to support hundreds of the less fortunate fit their new hearing aids through a charity Amber was active in. The overwhelming experience left the 29-year-old in tears as she was overcome with the happy results.

In a report from US Magazine, last Thursday, September 24th, both Johnny Depp and Amber Heard were in Rio de Janerio distributing hearing aids for the hundreds of children, and adults that all suffered from hearing problems.

The famous couple happily spent the day meeting the different Brazilians that suffered with hearing problems, and helped them fit their new hearing aids. Amber was seen overwhelmed with joy and happiness as she shed some tears during the emotional day. According to a report from which Amber was interviewed with, the 29-year-old stated, "There's nothing quite like the feeling of seeing that moment where you're testing the hearing aid and testing it, and that moment where they light up as they hear," Heard said. "That moment is everything."

The Indian Express reported that the charitable event was by the 'Starkey Hearing Foundation' that both Johnny and Amber support. The 'Pirates of the Caribbean' star also expressed his happiness and appreciation for the course stating, "To be able to help these kids, help these people, is amazing."

The foundations mission is to supply hearing aids to deaf or near-deaf individuals. According to reports, some of the recipients had never been able to hear before the devices were installed. With the success of the 'Starkey Hearing Foundation,' the life-changing charity has provided more than 100,000 hearing aids for the needy, per year.

In another report from Zimbio, the 52-year-old actor was also accompanied by his 'The Hollywood Vampires' band mates, Alice Cooper and Aerosmith's Joe Perry during the event in Rio de Janeiro before later on performing together for the 'Rock in Rio Music Festival.'

Though 'The Hollywood Vampires' only announced their involvement with 'Starkey Hearing Foundation' back in August, the group alongside Amber Heard were all overcome with the joyful results the charitable event achieved. Johnny Depp is currently continuing with the promotion of his latest movie 'Black Mass' which was recently released in theatres, and has already made $50million plus on its second week.
