The greatest heroes of the DC Extended Universe could face a seemingly invincible enemy in Justice League Part 1. Jason Momoa also revealed that his character and Aquaman's costume would pay respect to its prior versions in the comics.
New claims suggest that Braniac could appear in the upcoming film as the villain who will challenge the superhero league. According to a report by Movieweb, Braniac is one of the most intelligent beings in the universe whose special skills include telekinesis, control over forms of technology as well as creating force fields. In the comics, Braniac moves form planet to planet either to assimilate, capture, or simply destroy them.
Although it has not been confirmed yet, reports about Braniac's inclusion in the film came about shortly after reports about Braniac, Bizarro, and Supergirl's alleged appearance in Man of Steel 2 were released. However, according to the trade the plans for Braniac, Bizarro, and Supergirl's involvement were already scrapped.
Meanwhle, as reported by Digital Spy, Jason Momoa who is set to play as Aquaman revealed that his costume will include the colors orange, and green, which is believed to be very close to the character's look in the comics.
Also, according to Momoa, his version of Aquaman will pay respect to previous works about the character but is also certainly different in various ways. "[There'll be a] bit of respect to prior work", Momoa said. "But I think he is meaner now and upset - look at what has been done to our oceans. That's his world that has been polluted", he added.
The film's plot is currently under wraps but according to director Zack Snyder, Food World News revealed that they already have their plans laid out for Justice League Part 1 and 2. "We really have to figure out the why of them, and I think that we have", Snyder said.
Justice League Part 1 is set to be directed by Zack Snyder, and will star DCEU's greatest heroes, Henry Cavill as Superman, Ben Affleck's Batman, Momoa's Aquaman, Gal Gadot's Wonder Woman, and Ray Fisher's Cyborg among many others. It is set to hit theaters on November 17, 2017.
