Production has already started for Star Wars: Episode VIII which encountered a minor setback during its first day of filming. Cast members from the first film are expected to return while new claims surfaced about Hayden Christensen's possible appearance in the film.

As reported by Screenrant, the crew of the upcoming film were welcomed with a not-so-great weather during their first day of filming in Skellig Michael Island in Ireland. According to the trade, the crew had to wait out a storm due to the bad weather and sea swells that hit the island which made it inaccesible by boat, aside from that, production is under way.

Oscar Isaac is expected to reprise his role as Poe Dameron as well as Benedicio del Toro in a currently undisclosed role. Casting call for the female lead is also taking place, and according to a report by Movie Web, claims about Hayden Christensen returning for the film have surfaced.

These claims suggest that a team from the UK are flying to the US to begin training Christensen for an appearance for the film. Details about Christensen's appearance continue to be unanswered questions and how Christensen's Anakin Skywalker would fit in the film's story is also a big mystery.

However, as reported by Screencrush, Christensen's character could appear in the film as Force Ghost but such appearance would only take a day in front of the green screen and would probably not require training for the actor. But until official confirmation is announced, these claims must be treated with a grain of salt.

Plot details for the upcoming Star Wars: Episode VIII are currently under wraps, but more details are expected to be revealed in the coming months. Some of the cast from The Force Awakens are expected to return to the upcoming film which will be directed by Rian Johnson. It is set to hit theaters on May 26, 2017.
