"Pretty Little Liars" Season 6b premiere is still months away but there have been social media posts that tease fans on what to expect. For starters, the coming season is set to have a five year jump. This means that the next time we see them, our beloved characters will be adults.
Yibada reports that showrunner Marlene King recently posted on her Instagram account a photo that showed a flickering neon sign that reads "Lost Woods Resort" and "No vacancy," which she captioned "Déjà vu, Or not." The motel was the same one where Mona Vanderwaal began her "A" tricks and where Alison DiLaurentis was found alive in Season 4.
According to Melty, the only letters that do not light up in the neon sign can be spelled out as "soon," signifying that the show may return to the location.
King initially shared a photo of a painting of a couple who both have dark hair and were lying on a bed while with the teaser "New artwork in a PLL's new bedroom. Who do you think it belongs to?" The image caused a lot of speculations on who the couple could be. Some say they are Aria Montgomery and Ezra Fitz while others are convinced that they are Spencer Hastings and Toby Cavanaugh.
Troian Bellisario, who portrays Spencer, also captioned her photo she posted on Instagram
"#sparia & #spoby you lucky ducks," implying that her tandem with Toby (Spoby) will be together in the coming season.
Meanwhile, in his interview with ET Online, Keegan Allen who plays Toby, said fans will be shocked when they find out what happened to the couple during the time jump. He added that because of the time jump, the show will be different from the past seasons as it will be more mature. Most of the characters will be out from college, others will be working and there is one who will be engaged.
PLL fans have also not given up hope on Emily Fields and Alison or "Emison" getting together. In an interview, Shay Mitchell (Emily) tells their fans, "Emison fans - I think they're gonna have fun this next season seeing what me and Sasha [Alison DiLaurentis] are getting up to and what our characters are doing. I think they're going to be happy with it."
Writer Joseph Dougherty also posted a photo of the front cover of the script for season 6 episode 19 revealing the title of the episode to be "Did You Miss Me?"
