The South Korean giant is being rumored of gearing up a major firmware update for its recently released Galaxy S6, S6 Edge, and S6 Edge+ to acquire the official Android 6.0 Marshmallow before the year ends.
Latinos Post reports that the update of Android 6.0 Marshmallow for the Galaxy S6, S6 Edge, S6 Edge+ and Note 5 will be greater than the usual update so far. A leak has also brought a speculation that the aforementioned handsets will likely receive the latest Android 6.0 Marshmallow, since these are already equipped and running on the Android 5.1.1 Lollipop Operating System.
It is also said that the promptness at which Android M releases in numerous handsets depend on the smartphone maker or carrier. Nevertheless, Samsug has been observed of normally pretty quick in rolling out latest Android OS versions.
The new Android 6.0 update will still appear similar to Lollipop, but the users will be given an option of downloading the Marshmallow wallpapers. The dark theme, that was included in the first Marshmallow version presented by Google to the public, has been tussled for some unidentified reason.
According to Neuro Gadget, the Samsung Galaxy S6, S6 Edge, S6 Edge+ and Note 5 devices are already working on the Android 5.1.1 Lollipop, which is the latest Android Operating System that is also now available for download.
The Samsung Galaxy Note 4 was also even reported on getting the latest Android 6.0 update but there are no indications of when it will happen, reports Christian Today.
The site also noted that the Galaxy S6, S6 Edge, S6 Edge+ and Note 5 devices will possibly be able to receive the upgrade of Android 6.0 almost directly after the two Nexus devices from Google have been launched with Android 6.0 Marshmallow inside.
One report has emphasized that Samsung fans cannot expect the Marshmallow to be released in the flagship S6, S6 Edge, S6 Edge+ and Note 5 devices on the date of the OS' release since it has been the usual practice in previous upgrades for Samsung handsets. Unsurprisingly, the line of Nexus phones will be the first handsets to acquire the latest Android 6.0 Marshmallow.
