Oculus has already announced its "Oculus Ready" program for PCs. It is basically a line of Oculus-branded PCs from big-name companies that are compatibly made with the Oculus Rift VR headset.
According to Games Industry, Oculus VR has established a partnership with several prominent PC manufacturers in order to make the process of buying hardware for the Rift headset simplified, this device is set to launch in Q1 2016.The company has stated that a consumer will spend no more than $500 if it wants to acquire an all in package, including one of the baseline PC models that is capable of running VR.
It is reported that the specifications for this system have not been announced for PCs yet. However, these PC's will be Oculus branded and that has the ability to run VR straight out of the box when it releases in Q1 2016.
Game Spot reports that the list of PC's compatible and ready for the Oculus program are Dell, Allenware and Asus. Oculus has described these systems as "high-performances PC optimized for the Rift," cover the headset's suggested system requirements.
For pricing concern, its Asus model was reported to have the cheapest price that comes around $949. On the other hand, the other systems from Dell and Alienware, are said to bear a price tag that starts at $999.
Oculus is going to compete with the PlayStation VR that is slated to release its VR headset soon afterwards in the first half of 2016. It is stated that Playstation's headset appears to be having a price that comes around the same price as a new console, however, it will not require an additional hardware to be able to use it, Game Spresso reports.
The big announcement of the Oculus Rift will take place next year and it appears that the idea of VR gaming in the extensive market could make it as one of the largest stories from the gaming business in 2016.
