The Apple Pay, Android Pay and Samsung Pay will now be supported by the PayPal Here as it has already arrived in U.S. This helps the users to have fast and at ease transaction using a card reader and accompanied application.
Venture Beat recently reported that PayPal Here has announced its release of new chip-card reading dongle in the U.S. that will take contactless mobile payments.
This announcement has come as the Visa and MasterCard are shifting account holders over to chip-based credit cards. This new technology will not just be available in the U.S. but other countries as well, just like in U.K. and Australia, where PayPal has formerly launched chip-card reading dongles.
For those who are curious about how the PayPal Here works, Tech Times has elabaroted the steps. First, the business owner installs the PayPal Here app on their phone. Second, the app enables the owner to type the sale amount or select the product from their catalog. After selecting the item or specifying the amount, the owner can press the charge button. The available methods of payment will then be displayed on the screen. Instructions on inserting or swiping the payment will also appear on the screen. Then, the EMV cards can be entered into the bottom of the reader.
Mobile World Live further added that it will costs $49 through a rebate and once a PayPal Here customer has processed at least $3,000 within three months of activating the reader, they will get a $100 credit.
There is also an incentive from Visa and MasterCard for merchants in the US to upgrade into chip card readers. Starting today, October 1 the merchants who do not accept chip cards will be liable for any point of sale fraud from such.
As the PayPal Here has now reached U.S supporting iOS and Android devices, it would be easier for the users to have their transactions and businesses. The company hopes that the launch would lessen the risks of online financial transactions.
