First off, Now on Tap feature allows users to get information from third-party apps. As how Android 6.0 Marshmallow was demonstrated, if a friend sends a text message indicating about a store, holding the home button while in the message app will prompt Google Now on Tap to show a map with the store that displays its working hours, reviews, and other useful information.
Secondarily, the smarter batteries feature which makes a battery work smarter, not harder. The Doze Mode of Android 6.0 Marshmallow disables some processes running in the background or some power-draining features while they're not in use. It uses a combination of software tweaks and hardware sensors to determine when devices have been idle.
Third on the list is its Enhanced App Permission feature bringing a new app permission structure that borrows a page from Apple's iOS playbook, while adding its own improvements. The app permissions of Android OS before have been messy sometimes.
But with Android 6.0 Marshmallow, users will be able to choose which permissions they want to grant to each individual app. For example, the user can install a social app, then user can choose to deny the access to location information or to device's camera.

Additionally, the company is planning to upgrade the softwares of its smartphones.
"As for timing, we have high standards, so we'll work fast but we won't push the upgrades out until we know they're ready", Bjorn Kilburn, VP of Motorola Software Product Management, stated.
